A growing number of care facilities greatly benefit from the X-Wall. Clients with a disability often already have experience with gaming on a tablet or phone, so it’s a small step to the X-Wall. The X-Wall combines gaming with movement and uses light and sound effects to make it even more fun.

Together with care facility ‘‘s Heeren Loo’ in the city of Apeldoorn, we’re developing adapted games for people with a disability. Think of simple games, with a long duration and less effects, but with the ultimate game experience.

The X-Wall is a new and fun way to move and learn for clients as well as employees. The wall is user friendly, making it fast and easy for everyone to get started. The games can be played by hand, ball or using a foam hockey stick. The X-Wall makes it easier to get active, work at your social skills and most importantly: everybody likes it!

The X-Wall games are suitable for almost any client. Choose the right level and easily switch to a higher or lower level. The games take into account everybody’s social, physical, sensory and cognitive level.

Lots of fun

The most important aspect of the wall is the fun the clients get from the entertaining games. These can be played in many different ways. For instance, you can throw the ball from a distance or you can tap the screen using an object. The experience clients have playing the wall stays fun and exciting.

IN FULL DEVELOPMENT

The X-Wall is evolving and remains a challenging experience. Still this year, the number of games will be expanded from 40 to 60 games. Together with our customers, we constantly generate new ideas, and continue to develop and innovate. At the end of 2022, a new interface will be launched that will allow companions to customize the games themselves.

X-Wall helps clients 's Heeren Loo Apeldoorn to exercise

Clients of ‘s Heeren Loo, location residential care park Groot Schuylenburg in Apeldoorn, can now exercise playfully with the help of the X-Wall. On this interactive play wall, at first glance a bare, wall-to-wall white wall, games are projected via a projector that the clients can do.

How does the X-Wall for disability care work?

With a powerful projector, the screen is projected in HD resolution. The projector is mounted in a protective box and is mounted in the ceiling.

Math King Multiplayer

Which team is better at doing sums while aiming accurately at the X-Wall? Use the ball to hit the right answer. The first team to solve 15 sums wins! The game follows the primary education curriculum and is available at different levels for elementary school groups 3 through 8.

Fast Timers

‘Fast timer’ teaches kids to tell both analogue and digital time. Various levels of this game are available. It can be played solo or with opposing teams. Who’s best at telling time?

Alphabet game

I spy with my little eye something beginning with … ! Use the ball to hit all the objects beginning with the chosen letter as fast as possible. This game can also be played in English or German, which allows you to broaden your vocabulary in a fun and active way.

The benefits of
playful learning

The Interactive X-Wall is an interactive game wall. Various games are projected onto the wall that respond to contact with it. By interacting with the wall using hands, balls, or other objects, the games can be played. The interactive wall encourages movement through gamification. Therefore, it is highly suitable for education, leisure centers, fitness centers, play areas, and healthcare settings.

Any ball sport is possible on the X-Wall. You can play the games your way. The Tennis Skill game can also be played with a football or handball for example

The X-Wall can register up to 10 touches simultaneously, so it could accommodate 10 players at once. However, the educational and sports games are divided into teams of up to 4 players due to the size of the wall and the play areas. By adapting the game format and playing in relay form, you can accommodate up to 16 children at once.

Our software distinguishes us from our competitors. Our games are in Dutch. We create all the games ourselves, allowing us to customize them as needed. This means that each game or even the entire portal and dashboard can be personalized.

The minimum size of the space depends on the version of the X-Wall. The minimum distance from the X-Wall to the wall is 1 meter. The projector will then be mounted at a height of 2.3 meters. The X-Wall is available in four different versions: the X-Wall Basic, X-Wall Ultra Short Throw, X-Wall Short Throw, and X-Wall Mobile. The difference between the various types lies in the distance of the projector from the wall and the projection size. The X-Wall Mobile, as the name suggests, is a mobile version.
